Printing pdf very slow

Solved by chrapmannZD2ML. Call up the publish dialog box. Make sure the highlighted item in the image below is not ticked. Left Handed and Proud. That works fast and correctly with file sizes that are from kb to kb which seems normal from what I've read. The problem is after I have the PDF, when I'm trying to print this on actual paper, the plotters for all the PDF viewers, printer drives, and anything else I've tried takes an extremely long time, if it prints at all.

The only thing I can think of that makes sense is the pdf is being viewed as a raster image instead of vector lines. I'm wondering if there's anyway to force autocad to print in completely vector with no raster images. Also, do polygon viewports somehow effect printing speeds?

Mine are turned to defpoints but still might affect it? My goal is to export flat pdf's with nothing attached to it "untitled" viewports, raster images, text search and be in vector form. Apologies if I don't make sense, I'm not too familiar with this. I figured out the bottleneck. Using the standard rectangular viewports have fixed the issues and brought my drawings back to printing normal and fast like previous projects.

Issue When printing Adobe PDF files, the print job takes a long time to print, or hangs in the print queue, or does not respond.

Follow the onscreen prompts to complete the installation, and then restart your computer. I had brief success after restarting the server. PDF print jobs went well for a very short while. Within an hour or so, PDF printing went dead slow again. Server 3 did have Reader I rolled it back to Reader 9 on the advice of a page somewhere on the Web.

Server 3 has 8GB RAM which I thought might cause a problem, but with even just one person logged on to it, the problem persists. Since restarting the server worked once, although for a short time, I thought I'd give that a go and monitor the processes to see if anything changed. Then I restarted the server.

Monitoring the processes hasn't shown anything different as to what's running and how much of the resources they're consuming. Not as fast as it once was, but acceptable. The previous time I did a restart, PDF printing improved as well, but in about an hour it went dead slow again, with the same symptoms as before.

Have you tried printing with another PDF reader like Foxit Reader and see if there is any difference? Have you tried printing directly from a computer through the IP of the printer Locally installed. If your printer supports PostScript printing, then install the PostScript printer driver provided by the printer manufacturer and print using this driver. Solution 2: Change the Print Optimizations setting to " Disabled ". Some of these settings may vary depending on the version of Adobe Reader.

Adding RAM with the other servers isn't an easy option. They are standalone physical servers. So even if this works on this server, I'll still be wrestling with the other ones. Once I remove applications from the server using high memory the print processing started working properly. Check for any processes that do this.

The other servers are running higher in RAM usage than I'd like.
